Photographs / Video Footage

We may take photographs and video footage during Scouting activities to capture moments and celebrate the achievements of our young people. These images and videos may be used for various purposes, including:

  • Promotional Materials: Photos and videos may be included in newsletters, brochures, and social media to promote our Group and its activities.
  • Website Content: We may use images on our official website to showcase events and highlight the experiences of our members.
  • Local Media: Very Rarely, we may share images with local newspapers or community publications to promote Scouting in our area.

We are committed to ensuring that the privacy and dignity of all individuals are respected. Therefore, we will always seek permission before using any photographs or video footage that includes identifiable individuals, especially minors.

If you do not wish for your child’s image to be used in any of the above ways, please inform us in writing, and we will ensure their privacy is respected.

Additionally, if you have any concerns about photography or video recording during our events, please do not hesitate to discuss them with a member of the Leadership team.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
