Our Explorer Unit or

Leatherhead Explorer Scout Unit or L.E.S.U. was set up to give individuals between the ages of 14-18 a local progression in Scouting.

It is part of 1st Leatherhead and The Leatherhead District Explorers, the unit gets to take part in District Explorer events. The Explorers meet weekly, on a Wednesday night between 7:30pm and 9:30pm.

The unit enjoy a range of weekly meets either at the scout hut or out and about. As a unit, there are a variety of trips planned. The group encourages its Explorers to become young leaders and help at the younger sections, enabling then to support of all sections camps.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
