About us

Welcome to 1st Leatherhead Scout Group.
Home to two Beavers Colonies, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers in Leatherhead.

Who are we?

There has been scouting in the Leatherhead area for over 100 years there have been many changes in that time many groups have come and gone but there has always been scouting. This long tradition is very important to us and our aim is to continue this legacy with the best scouting possible. 1st Leatherhead is part of the Leatherhead district one of six local groups including Effingham, Ashtead, Fetcham and two in Bookham. Together we hope to share all of our combined skills and resources to to achieve our scouting goal “skills for life!”.

Scouting provides fun, challenge and adventure to 525,327 members, and all of their leaders, in the United Kingdom. Every Scout Group in the UK is dependent on its volunteers, so any help that you can give us would be brilliant, even if it’s just an hour a month!
