Road Map to face to Face Scouting

Very positive update from the National Youth Agency following their discussions with the government. Very positive news but these dates are still dependent on the government achieving their 4 targets in line with the national roadmap.

*Step 1B – 29th March – Move to Amber A* ?
_Unless Scout HQ impose further restrictions, this means:_
15 young people + 5 adult (small groups) outdoors only
With Social distancing / Over 11yrs will be asked to wear a face covering

*Step 2 – 12th April – Move to Amber B* ?
_Unless Scout HQ impose further restrictions, this means:_
All of the section / young people + 5 adult (small groups) outdoors
15 young people + 5 adult (small groups) indoors
With Social distancing / Over 11yrs will be asked to wear a face covering

*Step 3 – 17th May – Move to Yellow* ?
_Unless Scout HQ impose further restrictions, this means:_
Increased group sizes for outdoors (possibly 30+)
15 young people + 5 adult (small groups) indoors
Residentials permitted (no international) – camps allowed (likely with Scout HQ restrictions) With Social distancing / Over 11yrs will be asked to wear a face covering

*Step 4 – no earlier than 21st June – Move to Green* ?
_Unless Scout HQ impose further restrictions, this means:_
No group size restrictions
Effectively back to normal

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
